Honestly, we are just the change you never expected to see. We choose to do things differently, which most of the time violates the unsaid rules of society. 'Change' doesn't always mean destruction, it includes improvement too.
The first step towards changing/improving something, is acceptance, which is perhaps the most difficult one too. You need to acknowledge the fact that you are lacking somewhere. Only then can you improve it. Having empathy is another determinant.
For example, giving constructive criticism to our parents. You tell them where they went wrong and they immediately take offence, accuse you of talking back, call you ungrateful and blame the whole generation all at once 😂. All we were trying to do was help them improve their mistakes and eventually grow together. Still, I don't find them at fault because they never experienced this with their parents. But what we can do, is keep trying.
You need not pass down practices without pondering over them. Some have logic behind them, some have emotions but many were just created to satisfy egos 🤷🏻♀️. So, in short, don't be scared to be the change, even the smallest change matters.
